Unless actions in the future give me a reason to reopen the blog, there will be no additional At the Heart of an Occupation posts. Doing this blog has enriched my life in more ways than I could ever express. I have been so fortunate to sit and talk with so many beautiful people, some who I now consider my closest friends and even family. Because of this movement and the people who were part of it, I feel more comfortable being myself and speaking my truth than I ever have. Thank you to everyone for opening your heart for me. Your words continue to inspire. This blog is still viewed on a daily basis from all over the world. It's so inspiring to see how many people over the globe are longing for these conversations and actively building something better.
I recently started a new blog called Elements of Oppression to talk in depth about different forms of oppression, starting with issues surrounding the Black Lives Matter Movement. I will be posting a new interview to this blog on a weekly basis.
