I was drawn to Occupy to help save my country from the corporate fascists. They have taken over our country when it’s supposed to be, “We the People.” I heard about it on the news. I’m from California, so I’ve seen every kind of protest. I decided to come down one day. I’m also a card carrying Republican. I came here on September 27th and sat down at the info table. The guy said he had been up for two weeks straight working that table. He told me how to do it. Later that day, he said, “Sit down, and I’ll be back,” and he just never came back, so I took over. I continue to come out to Liberty Square everyday.

When we got raided, it was like a war zone. We all suffered post traumatic stress syndrome. I can’t look at pictures of the tent city without tearing up like a baby. It also makes me want to run for office. If I looked at a picture of it, you’d probably see me tear up like a veteran. I never cry for anything. It sucks. I knew we were going to get raided, but I didn’t know it was going to be that violent. It was like a war zone. I was helping people out, and I was clubbed in the back a couple of times. Just seeing people get thrown around who were like family members to me was very traumatizing. They burned up the constitution that day. We were non-violent, and they attacked us.

This is important because I would say the economy is close to tanking so hard that America is gone. That’s about it. America is screwed. I don’t think it can be fixed. I think it needs to come down before it can be fixed. Now, I consider myself more of a republican anarchist, which is kind of funny.

I’m not looking for a perfect world, but I want a better world than we have now. I think a perfect world would get boring. There always has to be a little tug and pull, I guess. First off, I want America to get better. I’m an American, so I want America to get better first. I want people to get back to having jobs. My goal is to make sure that the police department is prosecuted for their crimes against the American people, which would be a form of high treason. Definitely bring the justice to the people who destroyed the country.

I hope people have jobs that pay enough and that we all have free health care. Health care is one of the three industries that should be nationalized - health care, education and nuclear energy. I’d rather have the government run it than corporations that will cut corners. I hope we don’t blow ourselves up. Nobody wants war. I’m the type that will go to war if we have to, but I don’t want to see that. The one thing that humanity likes to do is destroy itself, but I hope that that doesn’t happen. I’m trying to rise above being a normal human, evolve.

I come here everyday, and I don’t question it. I think it’s that important. It’s my national duty to be here. I believe I would be here even if I didn’t believe in Occupy because people have the right to have free speech, and I feel like we’ve lost that. Everybody has the right to free speech as long as they’re not threatening to kill somebody. I’m here to protect the constitution. I would be here anyway, especially like the people in Phoenix, the Minute Men that guarded Phoenix. Occupy Phoenix got guarded by the Minute Men, these right-wingers that guard the borders. They actually stood on the edge of the park with AR15’s, which is legal in Arizona. They stood in a line with their backs toward Occupy, and they actually said, “Even though we don’t believe in what they’re saying, they have a right to say it, and the second amendment is the right to protect the first amendment.”
