I heard of Occupy Wall Street through Craigslist. I was looking for a job, and on Craigslist it said, “Occupy Wall Street: Work Here.” I showed up, and nobody was there to interview me. I guess it was just a ploy. I stayed because they were building this amazing, sustainable community and fighting the very powers that were making this world disgusting. It was definitely a good cause to start out with.

Information is very important, especially since the powers are so corrupt. People need to know what the causes of these problems are and what those in power are actually doing. If we let people know what’s going on, maybe they’ll stand up and do something like we are. There were only a couple presidents throughout history that were actually able to change the corporate tide in America and actually do something for the people. Right now, we don’t have anyone like that, so we need to organize from the other side. We need to let them know that this isn’t okay what they’re doing.

We’re going to get wherever we’re going to get. This isn’t just a political movement. This is also a spiritual movement, a social movement. This is definitely evolution for a lot of people. It’s definitely opening up a lot of people’s minds. We’re already evolving. We’re creating the world we want to see. We did that at Zuccotti. I just hope that we can all respect each other and that money gets out of politics as soon as possible, so laws can actually be made for the people and not to profit.
