Occupying Wall Street, April 13, 2012, Wall Street

I was kinda angry when I got home from Iraq, honestly. I came home, got messed around a little bit, and it left me kinda bitter, and when I saw the Scott Olsen video, that was really all I needed to see. I was out at Occupy Tampa the next day, and I’ve been out there ever since.

This is so important because if we don’t do it, who will? It’s important to make a better world for people in the future. Sometimes you just have to stop and shake hands with the people who dare to become the next generation because the GMOs and angry police officers becoming trigger-happy, it’s not what I fought for.

There’s an old Hopi Indian prophecy that I live by. It says, “Once the world is ravished and dying, every race of man will come from the earth, and they will make the world whole again. They will be called “Warriors of the Rainbow.” They’ll be made from all colors, class, creed and religion.” When I look around, I see the world that I already want. It’s starting now. There are people of all colors and religions, and they’re all fighting for the same thing, and it’s beautiful. That’s all I could ever hope for.
