What drew me to Occupy Wall Street was the commitment of all
these individuals for social justice. They were willing to come together, sleep
down on this hard marble and concrete, endure the hardships, and that really inspired
me to come down and show solidarity.
It’s important because, right now, all politicians make
their decisions based on the interest of corporations, and that is very destructive
to people and the land. I want politicians to start making their decisions in
the interest of the people. The opposite is happening now. Corporations rule
this country.
I’m looking for the change to bring about a world where
everybody has a fair chance, no one or the earth is exploited and no one is
discriminated against. That’s my ultimate goal, and that means that corporate
America cannot have any control over the decisions that are made by
politicians.
